Village homestay tinerary:

Day 1. – Cusco – Chinchero – Tauca

At 8:00 am you will be picked up from your hotel in Cusco. We will travel to Chinchero and then follow the dirt route until to reach the village of Tauca. At your arrival the families will welcome you to the community.

Afterwards you will be introduced to your host family, who will lead you to the place where you will spend the night. Coordinating with your host-family you can start with activities they prepared for you. The following activities are just referential to be done with the villagers :

Day 2.- Tauca – Chinchero – Cusco

After you overnight in the home of the local family. You will have breakfast with the family and then help them to feed the animals with grass. There will be plenty of time to do some more activities in the village. After a great and typical lunch, you will say good bye to the local families. The transfer will come to pick you up and then he will take you back to Cusco. At your arrival in the city you will be dropped in the hotel.

Detailed Itinerary:

Day 1.- Inca Museum – Hatun Rumiyoc – Main Square – Qoricancha – San Pedro.

At 9:00 am you will be picked up by our guide from your hotel and then you will start visiting the Main Square, where the guide will introduce you about Cusco as the capital city of the Inca Empire. Inca Museum is the perfect place to understand about the lifestyle in the Peruvian Andes in the pre-Columbian time and how Incas managed the difficult geography and joined too many pre-Inca cultures in South America.

Walking through some of the Inca streets will be amazed by the finest architecture remaining from the Inca places or temples. Qoricancha will be the place to introduce you about the religion of our ancestors, where you visit some of the most beautiful temples left, which survived to the attach of the conquistadores. Qoricancha is also called the Inca Sun temple, now days has the Santo Domingo church on the top.

In the final part of our Cusco walking tour you will visit the interesting local market of San Pedro, where you will see how the locals make their shopping of supplies for the weekend. Vinicunca Mountain tour – Itinerary

Day 1: Cusco – Llaqto – Rainbow Mountain – Llacto – Cusco

We will start the Vinicunca Mountain tour with the pick-up from your hotel in Cusco at 4:30 am and the bus ride to arrive at Llaqto (4,650 m / 14,389 ft.) is approx.3 hours long. After we arrived to the trail-head trail, our expert chef will prepare and serve us a delicious breakfast.

After breakfast, we will get some essential things for the day and start our trip by horse, following a clearly marked footpath, we will observe some alpacas and llamas on the hillsides; this area is home of indigenous Quechua people who are herders of those animals.

After 1 hour of horseback ride we will arrive close to the spectacular Rainbow Mountain Peru (5,100 m / 16,500 ft.), the last 30 minutes you need to walk to reach the lookout for the rainbow mountain, horses are not allowed to take you all the way to the top.

After to enjoy the Majestic of the Rainbow Mountains, we will walk back down to the horse station and then begin our return down to the bus parking place. In the afternoon after lunch we will drive for 3 hours to come back to Cusco, estimated arrival time is around 5pm.

Itinerary of Machu Picchu day tour:

In the morning of Machu Picchu day tour, we will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco 2 hours before the departure of your train and take you to the train station in the town of Ollantaytambo. We will board a train of one of the two companies operating in Peru – Peru Rail or Inca Rail. We will begin the journey from Ollantaytambo to the town of Aguas Calientes. The views out your train windows will be absolutely spectacular as we travel beside the roaring Urubamba River and the towering mountains surrounding it!

In Aguas Calientes, our tour guide will be waiting for us and will accompany us to the bus station where we will board the bus to take us to the Royal citadel of Machu Picchu! There we will have our 2-hour guided tour, visiting the Main Plaza, the Sun temple, the impressive sundial, the Royal Quarters, the main Temple, the Temple of the Three Windows, etc. We will be amazed by the lost city of the Incas,

Then we will descend to the town of Aguas Calientes by bus, where you can have lunch at one of the various restaurants in Aguas Calientes or at Sanctuary Lodge (lunch is on you).

Later on, we will drive to the northern outskirts of Cusco, to visit the famous four ruins around Cusco.

Sacsayhuaman is the most Impressive and outstanding Inca Temple just 20 minutes away from the Incas’ Capital, where we will walk through huge Inca walls, built with massive lime rocks weighing up to 128 tons, amazingly well joined, with absolute perfection. Then, we will move onto another important Inca site called Qenqo, a strange place with subterranean passages, hiding in its interior perfect carved rock formation where the Incas probably mummify some of the very important people in their society. We will finish our tour visiting the spectacular Inca Baths of Tambomachay and the military lookout point of Pukapukara, and then we will get back to Cusco.

Itinerary of Chinchero Moray excursion & Machu Picchu:

DAY 1. – Chinchero – Moray – Salt mines – Ollantaytambo – Aguas Calientes.

In the morning at the scheduled time we’ll pick you up from the Hotel. After 40 minutes of drive with direction to the Sacred Valley, we will arrive to the fertile plain of Chinchero full of farming fields & beautiful landscapes. At Chinchero we will stop to see the locals weaving center. After to learn all the ancient weaving techniques from the locals, we will continue traveling to the town of Maras, which has nice colonial doorways made of stone unique around Cusco region. From Maras there will be a short drive to arrive to the Inca ruins of Moray, called “the Inca laboratory”. The guide will transmit us all the history of this wonderful place, we will have chance to walk around

We then drive to the Salt mines, accompanied with beautiful views of Urubamba Mountain range. On the way to the Salt Mine we will pass by many farming fields. The amazing salt pans of Salineras are owe by the locals, with more than 3000 pools still functioning, since pre-Inca times. We will have a short drive to Urubamba for lunch. In the afternoon we will visit Ollantaytambo Inca fortress, after to visit this formidable Inca site we will have the train ride to Aguas Calientes.

Day 2. Aguas Calientes – Machu Picchu – Back to Cusco.

After your breakfast at the hotel, the guide will pick you up and lead you to the bus station. Then we will have a short bus drive to the gate of the citadel of Machu Picchu. Where you will have a guided tour of the Citadel, our guide will show us the Main Plaza, the Sun Temple, the Sacred Sun Dial, the Royal palace, the Temple of the Three Windows, the Main temple and Sacred Rock. You can also take the following hiking options:

1. Climb to Wayna Picchu; suggested for the most adventurous people, Wayna Picchu is a great option to observe the immensity of Machu Picchu, even more amazing being very high and distant (we suggest you to book it in advance).

2. Walk to Sun Gate; all the visitors of Machu Picchu are allowed to walk (approx. 2 hours up and down) up to the Sun Gate (Inti Punku)

3. Montaña Machu Picchu; it is much longer and higher than Wayna Picchu so it needs at least 3 hours of intense hike up and down to be finished it but it is definitely worth it.

In the afternoon at the schedule time you will take the bus down to Aguas Calientes, and then we will take the train back to Ollantaytambo. The journey by train takes approximately 1:40 Hours, upon your arrival to the train station, you will transferred back to the hotel in Cusco.

Day 1.- Cusco – Tauca – Huchuy Qosqo

At  6 am  travelers are picked up from their hotels in our private transportation and drive to the interesting village of Tauca. We will start the Huchuy Qosqo Trekking to Machu Picchu uphill for 3 hours, as we reach the mountain top there will be breathtaking views of the tall peaks around, then we continue our trek downhill, passing some farming fields and pastures where animals graze. Around Huchuy Qosqo we will find the tipycal flora of the area, we then follow a beautiful Inca trail downward to the popular Inca site, at our arrival to Huchuy Qosqo; our guide will teach us all the history of this place.

After having our box lunch we will continue with our 2 day Machu Picchu hike, walking down to Lamay (3 hours) from here we need to travel by car to Ollantaytambo. In the evening we will catch the train to Aguas Calientes town

Day 2.- Aguas Calientes – Machupicchu – Cusco.

In the morning after breakfast we will take a bus up to the ruins of Machupicchu, as the most of the visitors we want also to arrive earliest possible to observe the beautiful sunrise in the biggest energetic center of the Incas and enjoy this magnificent place before the crowds arrive. You will be part of 2 hours guided tour of Machu Picchu with the same guide from Huchuy Qosqo trekking. After the tour you can explore the ruins by yourself or climb Huayna Picchu for a better views of Machu Picchu.

Many people usually take the following hiking options:

1. Huayna Picchu Mountain.- is the first option of additional hike around Machu Picchu; it rises approximately 320 meters higher than the ruins and normally takes 2 hours to hike it up and down. The last part of the mountain is quite steep, not recommended for people afraid of heights. To climb it you need to book in advance, the tickets are limited to 400 people per day. The 400 tickets are divided into two groups: 200 people are allowed to start at 7:00am and 200 at 10am.
2. Machu Picchu Mountain called Montaña.-  is the second option to hike, it takes longer time than the other mountain (3hours at least) but the views are better, because is taller than Huayna Picchu. To hike this mountain you need to book in advance, the tickets are limited by the Peruvian Government office.

After we leave Machu Picchu, we will take the bus down to Aguas Calientes and then  return to Ollantaytambo by the expedition train (leaves between  3 pm to 5 pm) from the train station you will be transferred directly back to your hotel. End of hike.

Day 1: Cusco- Killarumiyoc – Chonta-  Condor lookout

In the morning at the scheduled time travelers will be picked up from their hotels in Cusco.  We then start traveling through a beautiful mountain scenery, after 1 hour drive we will arrive to archaeological site of Killarumiyoc, our guide will show us this beautiful and charming place called the Moon temple, a while after driving from Killarumiyoc we will start descending to the Valley of Limatambo.

We will continue driving uphill on the dirt road towards to the community of Chonta (3,400 m). After 1 ½ hours of hiking (moderate difficulty) we will reach the lookout of Hahuacco, which has great views of the Chonta canyon and Vilcabamaba mountain range; with some of luck we will be able to spot over dozens of the Condors soaring in their natural habitat; which normally happens around 2pm. In the afternoon after to enjoy our Condor Sighting activity we walk back down to Chonta for 1 ½ hours until to arrive to the campsite.

You will meet your guide and go to the bust station, the drive to Machu Picchu is 30 minutes the guide will transmit us all the history of this mysterious and mystical place (Sun Temple, Royal Palace, Main Temple, Three Windows Temple and Sun Dial). It will be an unforgettable experience. After the guided tour, you will have some extra free time to explore the area on your own, you can also do the additional hikes around (Sun gate or Inca Bridge). At the appropriate time we will go down to Aguas Calientes and then return to Cusco.

After breakfast, we will take our day packs with some essential things for the day and start our trip uphill, following a clear marked trail along a lovely stream, we will observe many alpacas and llamas on the hillsides; this area is home of numerous indigenous Quechua people who are herders of those animals. Day 1.- Cusco – Pisaq – Ollantaytambo- Moray – Salt mines – Chinchero

The Super Sacred Valley day tour starts after breakfast, with the pick-up from the hotel at 7:00am and the bus drive toward The Sacred Valley. On the way to Pisac, we will stop at the lookout of Taray to take in the view of the Urubamba Valley. This part of the valley is filled with crops that dress the mountains like carpets.  We will continue our Sacred Valley tour visiting the ruins of Pisac, where our guide will explain us the history of this impressive Inca ruins on the mountain top, we will also have a short stop at the Pisac market. Afterwards we drive down to Ollantaytambo, a quaint town of Inca origin with remarkable water channels, stone streets, colorfully dressed local people and the great Sun Temple on the top of the fortress.

On our way back to Cusco we will visit the popular Salt mines and the great experimental center of the Incas “Moray”, just before to finish the Sacred Valley tour we will have a last stop at one of the famous weaving centers at Chinchero, this is your chance to interact with the indigenous women to learn all the techniques and process to make the handmade textiles using alpaca and llama wool, we then arrive in Cusco at about 6:30-7:00 pm.
